YUKO ITATSU LABORATORY, THE UNIVERSITY OF TOKYO

On October 29, 2022, the Annual UT-SNU-NCCU Symposium was held online on the Gather Town platform, hosted by Seoul National University. Participants included Master’s and Doctoral students from the University of Tokyo, National Chengchi University in Taiwan, and Seoul National University in Korea. The theme for this year’s conference was “Beyond Boundaries: Communication for Diverse and Multiple Communities,” which included oral presentations and a poster session.

Our lab member, Alyssa Castillo Yap, participated in the oral presentations section of the symposium, in the Critical Communication and Cultural Studies session. She presented her undergraduate thesis entitled “Queering spatial awareness in post-pandemic Tokyo: Micro-level counter-narratives in Shinjuku Ni-chōme” which was followed by a short Q&A session.

2022年10月29日、ソウル大学主催の「日韓台シンポジウム」がGather Townのプラットフォームでオンライン開催されました。参加者は、東京大学、台湾の国立政治大学、韓国のソウル大学から修士・博士課程の学生が集まりました。今回は「Beyond Boundaries」というテーマで、口頭発表とポスターセッションが行われました。

ヤップ　アリッサは、シンポジウムの口頭発表部門、Critical Communication and Cultural Studiesのセッションに参加しました。ヤップ　アリッサは「Queering spatial awareness in post-pandemic Tokyo: Micro-level Counter-narratives in Shinjuku Ni-chome」と題した学部論文を発表しました。その後短い質疑応答がありました。
