Joining the Lab

The lab welcomes those interested in cultural and social issues, which include minority studies, digital technology and the everyday life, leisure studies, media representation, transnational cultural exchange, globalization of popular culture.

Note on Admissions
As Dr. Itatsu is currently affiliated with two departments at the University of Tokyo, there are two ways to join the Itatsu Lab. One is to go through the admissions process at the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Itatsu is affiliated with the Language and Information Sciences Department at the Komaba Campus. The second path is to go through the admissions process at the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies at the Hongo Campus. This would entail applying to the ITASIA program.

※Students may contact Dr. Itatsu before the application period starts. Once the application is submitted, she will refrain from communicating with applicants.

入学・進学に関しての注意
現在、板津先生は東京大学の2つの学部に所属しているため、板津研究室に参加するには2つの方法があります。一つは、東京大学大学院総合文化研究科の入学手続きです。総合文化研究科は駒場キャンパスにあり、板津先生は言語情報科学専攻に所属しています。もう一つは、本郷キャンパスの東京大学大学院情報学環・学際情報学府の入学手続きを経ることです。これには、ITASIAプログラムへの出願を伴います。

※入学・進学を希望する学生は、出願期間前に、板津先生に連絡をとることができます。願書が提出されてから合格発表までは、入進学希望者への返答は差し控えています。
