My current research topic is related to digital transformation, technology-enhanced learning and teaching in higher education institutions (HEIs), with a specific focus on incorporating Large Language Models (LLMs) into English for Academic Purposes (EAP) instruction in an ethical and responsible way. To answer questions like what pedagogical practices should be developed in the age of AI to accommodate learners from diverse language and cultural backgrounds, I’m looking into both theoretical and practical approaches. Working as a writing teaching assistant in the academic writing center to help Japanese undergraduate students improve their papers, I aim to find a way where both students and instructors can be empowered by key EdTech. As for further explorations, I’d like to examine the transfer policies concerning digital readiness and AI literacy in HEIs from a comparative perspective.

I have a BA in Chinese Language and Literature from Peking University, with a minor in Japanese language. My graduation paper was titled “The Reception and Transformation of Ming and Qing Dynasty Yuefu Poetry by the Edo Period Japanese Kanshi Poet Raisanyo.” In addition to my master’s program, I’m also participating in the University of Tokyo’s Future Faculty Development Program and Science Interpreter Training Program.

研究テーマは、高等教育機関（HEI）におけるデジタル変革（DX）、テクノロジーを活用した学習法・教育法です。特に、アカデミック英語（EAP）教育における大規模言語モデル（LLM）の倫理的な使用に重点を置いています。人工知能（AI）の利活用が進む現代において、多様な言語と文化的背景を持つ学習者を配慮した教育実践とはどのようなものかといった問題意識のもと、理論および実践の双方のレベルでの方法論を探究しています。アカデミックライティングセンターでTAとして学部生の英語論文に触れる日々、EdTechが学生と教員の両方をエンパワーする可能性について明らかにすることを目指しています。さらなる探求テーマとして、高等教育機関におけるDXへの対応やAIリテラシーに関する政策を比較検討していきたいと思います。

2023年7月に北京大学で中国語・中国文学の学士号を取得し、副専攻として日本語を履修しました。卒業論文の題目は「江戸時代の漢詩人・頼山陽による明清時代における楽府詩の受容と変容」でした。「多文化共生・統合人間学プログラム」に加えて、東京大学フューチャーファカルティプログラムと科学技術インタープリター養成プログラムを履修しております。
