Amaël is a doctoral student in the ITASIA program of the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies at the University of Tokyo. He holds a BA in Japan and East Asia Studies from the University of Tokyo and a Master in International Development Studies from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University. He has worked for four years for various NGOs, public agencies and the United Nations, notably coordinating a project on gender equality and evaluating development programs. He is from France, has lived in Japan, Thailand, Brazil and Morocco and worked frequently in Senegal and Belgium. These experiences shaped his understanding of global dynamics and gender norms. His doctoral research focuses on the influence of transnational masculinist discourses, actors and ideologies on Japanese and French societies. He is interested in the exchange of information and ideas between the global and the local, in the role of men in gender (anti-)equality movements and in the construction of masculinities worldwide.

アマエルは、東京大学大学院学際情報学府のITASIAプログラムに所属する博士課程の学生です。東京大学で日本と東アジア研究の学士号を取得し、パリ第1大学パンテオン・ソルボンヌで国際開発学の修士号を取得しました。様々なNGO、公的機関、そして国連で4年間勤務し、特にジェンダー平等に関するプロジェクトの調整や開発プログラムの評価に従事してきました。彼はフランス出身で、日本、タイ、ブラジル、モロッコに住んだ経験があり、セネガルやベルギーでも頻繁に仕事をしていました。これらの経験は、彼のグローバルなダイナミクスやジェンダー規範に対する理解を深めました。彼の博士研究は、トランスナショナルな男性主義的な言説、アクター、イデオロギーが日本とフランスの社会に与える影響に焦点を当てています。彼は、グローバルとローカルの間の情報やアイデアの交換、ジェンダー（反）平等運動における男性の役割、そして世界中の男性性の構築に興味を持っています。
