Lab member Ginger Huang delivered an oral presentation at Leisure Studies Association (LSA) Annual Conference. The conference, themed “Leisure and social justice in changing and challenging times” was held from July 8 to 10, 2025 by The York Business School in association with the Leisure Studies Association in York, UK.

Her presentation, titled “Embodied Geographies: Knowledge, Authority, and Worldviews in Mandarin-speaking Mountaineering Communities in Japan” examined the role of embodied localized knowledge systems in shaping the leisure experiences of Mandarin-speaking mountaineering communities in Japan. Drawing on ethnographic fieldwork and recent debates in leisure studies, migration studies, and science and technology studies (STS), the presentation highlighted how leisure practices become a site for producing and circulating knowledge, as well as negotiating cultural belonging. Her paper also won the 2025 Leisure Studies Graduate Paper Award.

研究室メンバーのGinger　Huang（ホアン　ジンジー）が Leisure Studies Association (LSA) 年次大会にて口頭発表を行いました。本大会は「変化と挑戦の時代におけるレジャーと社会正義」をテーマとし、2025年7月8日から10日にかけて、英国ヨークにおいてヨーク・ビジネススクールとLeisure Studies Associationの共催で開催されました。

発表のタイトルは「身体化された地理学：日本における中国語圏登山コミュニティの知識、権威、世界観」と題し、日本の中国語圏登山コミュニティのレジャー体験を形成する上で、身体化された地域的知識システムが果たす役割について検討しました。民族誌的フィールドワークと、レジャー研究、移住研究、科学技術研究（STS）における近年の議論に基づき、レジャー実践が知識の生産・流通の場となり、文化的帰属の交渉の場となることを明らかにしました。彼女の論文は2025年レジャー研究大学院生論文賞をも受賞いたしました。
