Lab member Amaël Cognacq presented at the Conference: “Men and Masculinities in Transition” hosted by the Department of Child and Youth Studies and the Gender Academy at Stockholm University, Sweden, in collaboration with the Nordic Association for Research on Men and Masculinity (NORMAS), from June 11 to 13, 2025. 

His presentation, titled “Changing Japan, Changing Men? What Internet Slang Terms for Describing Men Reveal About the Reconfiguration of Masculinities in Japan,” explored the meaning of different words originated online, in relation to the specificities of Japan and of its digital platforms. Using Japanese and international scholarship on gender and critical studies on men and masculinities (CSMM), Amaël also sought to explain the thoughts and practices of the communities that formed around those terms.

ラボメンバーのコニャック・アマエルは、2025年6月11日から13日にかけてスウェーデン・ストックホルム大学にて開催された国際会議「Men and Masculinities in Transition（移行期における男性と男性性）」にて研究発表を行った。本会議は、ストックホルム大学子ども・若者研究学科およびジェンダー・アカデミーが、北欧男性性研究協会（NORMAS）との協働により主催したものである。

アマエルの発表題目は「変わる日本、変わる男性？インターネットスラングに見る日本の男性性の再編成」であり、日本社会およびそのデジタル・プラットフォームの特性と関連付けながら、オンライン発祥の複数の語彙の意味を考察した。さらに、国内外のジェンダー研究および男性性批判研究（CSMM）を参照しつつ、これらの語に基づき形成されたコミュニティの思想や実践についても分析を行った。
