Lab member Shuyi Li will present at the Association of Hong Kong Language Centres (AHKLC) Symposium 2025, to be held from May 22-23 at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in Hong Kong. The symposium’s theme is “Repositioning Language Education in the Age of AI.”

Shuyi’s poster presentation is titled “Designing Effective Prompts for EAP: A Community-Supported Model for Writer-Centered Use of Large Language Models.” The presentation will delve into effective prompt-crafting strategies for Large Language Model (LLM) assisted English for Academic Purposes (EAP) writing. It proposes a community-supported model that promotes a writer-centered and ethical approach, aiming to empower both novice and experienced EAP writers to leverage LLMs while preserving their agency and autonomy through the use of specific rhetorical strategies.

研究室メンバーの李書懿（リーシューイ）が、5月22日から23日にかけて香港理工大学で開催される香港語学センター協会（AHKLC）シンポジウム2025にて発表を行います。本シンポジウムのテーマは「AI時代における言語教育の再定位」です。

発表のタイトルは「学術英語（EAP）のための効果的なプロンプトデザイン：ライター中心の大規模言語モデルのコミュニティ支援モデル」です。本発表では、大規模言語モデル（LLM）を活用した学術英語（EAP）ライティングにおける効果的なプロンプト作成戦略を探求します。特定のレトリック戦略を用いることで、EAPライターが初心者・経験者を問わず主体性と自律性を維持しながらLLMを活用できるようエンパワーすることを目指し、ライター中心かつ倫理的なアプローチを促進するコミュニティ支援モデルを提案します。
