YUKO ITATSU LABORATORY, THE UNIVERSITY OF TOKYO

On June 13, 2024, the Itatsu lab hosted a book talk by Dr Jane Ferguson (Associate Professor in Anthropology and Southeast Asian History, Australian National University) entitled “The Burmese Way to Socialist Realism: Comparing Burmese Re-makes of Hollywood Movies from the Parliamentary Democracy and Socialist Periods.”

This research is included in her book Silver Screens and Golden Dreams: A Social History of Burmese Cinema (U of Hawaii Press, 2023). 

2024年6月13日に、オーストラリア国立大学のジェーン・ファーガソン准教授をお迎えし、ミャンマーの映画について人類学的な分析を講演いただきました。
